1. Information We Collect

When you enroll in a course or contact us, we collect your name, email address, and payment information. Payment card details are processed entirely by Stripe - we never store card numbers on our servers. We also collect basic usage data (pages visited, quiz responses) to improve the learning experience.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To deliver and manage your training course
• To communicate enrollment confirmations, course updates, and receipts
• To report your training completion to FMCSA (required by federal law - see Section 3)
• To respond to support requests
• To improve course content and platform performance

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not send unsolicited marketing beyond course-related communications.

3. FMCSA Reporting (Required by Federal Law)

As an FMCSA Training Provider Registry (TPR) compliant provider, we are legally required to report your training completion - including your name, date of birth, CDL number (if provided), and training completion date - to the FMCSA Training Provider Registry upon successful course completion. This reporting is mandated by 49 CFR Part 380 and cannot be waived. The data is submitted to the federal government, not shared with private third parties.

4. Third-Party Services

• Stripe - Payment processing. Stripe stores and processes your payment card information under their own privacy policy and PCI-DSS compliance.
• Supabase - Cloud database for storing course progress and account data. Data is encrypted at rest and in transit.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account and training records for as long as your account is active, and for a minimum of three years after completion as required by FMCSA regulations. You may request deletion of non-regulated data at any time.

6. Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information (except where retention is required by federal law). To exercise these rights, email us at info@cdltruckingacademy.com. We will respond within 30 days.

7. Security

We use HTTPS, encrypted data storage, and access controls to protect your information. No transmission over the internet is 100% secure, but we take commercially reasonable precautions.
